As the air gets cooler and we settle into the rhythm of Fall, I find myself craving foods that are both comforting and nourishing. Enter: my chai spiced pecans—a snack that’s as grounding as a cozy yin yoga session. Pecans are rich in healthy fats, which help support brain function and keep us feeling satisfied, while the warming chai spices bring a sense of comfort and balance, perfect for this transitional season.

Life is a blend of flavors—sweet, spicy, and everything in between. Find joy in the balance.

These pecans are a great example of how what we eat can support our well-being, much like our yoga practice does. Just as we balance effort and ease on the mat, this recipe balances sweetness, spice, and nourishment. Plus, the addition of cordyceps, a functional mushroom known for its energy-boosting and adaptogenic properties, gives this snack an extra edge. It's the perfect way to fuel up mindfully, whether you're heading into a busy day or settling down with a cup of tea after your yoga practice.

  3. Whisk the egg white, ghee and vanilla in a large bowl.

  4. In a separate bowl mix the sugars,  cordyceps, chai spices, and salt.

  5. Add the pecans to the egg white mixture and stir to coat.

  6. Transfer the coated pecans to the spice mix and combine well.

  7. Spread your pecans onto the prepped baking sheet and slowly roast at 250F, for about minutes 45 minutes to an hour.

  8. Give the pecans a little flip every 10-15 minutes to make sure they roast evenly and get that perfect crunch.

  9. Allow to cool, and store in an airtight container at room temp.

Whether you’re sharing them with friends or sneaking a few handfuls for yourself, these chai-spiced pecans are the perfect reminder that balance can be found in the little things—like a crunchy bite of fall goodness.
